There is a special place I went on my holiday, called Con Dao island. That was the very first time I went to this beautiful island. It's in the south of Vietnam where is about half an hour on plane from Hochiminh city. I went there during the last days of March this year.
There is only one way along the shore and it took me about 20 minutes by taxi from the airport to the center for only VND 200,000. I really love this place because along the sides of the way there were blooming flowers. I saw low mountains on one side of the way and the sea on the other side. That was really a wonderful view!

Con Dao is a small beach town with many narrow and not-so-long streets. Nearly all of the streets and houses face toward the sea. I visited many vestiges in the prisons that were built in the war since the early nineteenth century there. The beaches were very beautiful, the sea water was crystal clear but I didn't swim because there were a lot of other interesting places I wanted to go sightseeing.
I spent three days on Con Dao island, but I haven't visited all of the small islands around it yet. So, I will definitely go back to this place at least once more.
